Old Person’s Face No More

by Jen Hopkins

A few months ago, I was sitting in the waiting area of my doctor’s office when a child came up to me. He was maybe eight or nine years old. He looked up at me and in the most annoying tone I’ve ever heard said \”You’re old.\” I’m only fifty, but now, I feel old. After looking in the mirror for what was probably too much time, I decided that I should look into some wrinkle creams. (And how to harm that child…)

Since this is my face we were talking about, I wasn’t going to buy just any wrinkle cream. I was shopping for The Best Wrinkle Cream ever! First I asked my friends. Of course, they all denied using anything. But after a little arm-twisting, a few of my friends did admit to using a cream that is sold at the local grocery store. I’m sure there was nothing wrong with the product, but I doubted it was The Best Wrinkle Cream ever.

Anti-wrinkle Creams

Everywhere we look today there are beautiful women. They are in every magazine, on the televisions and in the movies. These women look as if they never age. This leaves all of the other women wondering what their secret to eternal youth is. Anti-wrinkle creams are one of the most popular products offered today, but do they really work.

First, what really causes wrinkles? The number one answer is aging. As we age our skin looses it elasticity and sagging results. Our skin looses the ability to repair as we age making the drooping unstoppable.

The number two answer is the enviroment. If you get excessive sunlight, smoke, and live in high pollutant areas, your skin is at risk. Smoke lets off toxins that can kill skin cells and causes your skin to wrinkle.

There are many paths to choose when one chooses to battle wrinkles. Injections, facelifts and creams are on the top of the list. Injections are the buzz right now, but are known to have a lot of health risks. Injections are toxic to the body and in most cases are not wroth the expense that is incurred by having the procedure.

Asking a group of people to name their favorite anti-wrinkle cream could easily lead to disagreements and arguments over the masses of products on the markets. Everyone will have a “best recommendation” for you whether they are your age, younger, older, or a part of a cosmetics company.

As looking younger longer becomes more popular with surgeries and shots, wrinkle creams have grown in popularity, especially in middle to lower classes. Those who cannot afford or do not want surgery or shots choose to use wrinkle reducing creams to wipe years off of their faces.

What is the best anti-wrinkle cream? Multiple websites exist to prove the best. There are brand-specific websites have their own testing and scientific “proof.” They may include research panels (made up of actual women testers) that have ranked the products for results, ease-of-use, price, etc.

There are also websites whose sole purpose is to review the best wrinkle cream and anti-wrinkle cream available to the average woman. There you can find actual customer testimonies, where the products can be found, the price, and the overall ranking as determined by the reviews.
