A weight loss program is more successful when you have your friends and family support you in reaching your goal. Unfortunately, this idealistic mindset is almost impossible to achieve in this imperfect world. As with any improvement you try to make in your life, you can be sure there will be someone who will try to sabotage your weight loss program.
Don’t let this make you quit losing weight, to reach your goals you need to have more willpower and resist all those negative urges and thoughts, especially when you are on your path to healthier you.
Why does this happen? Well, the reason why these people adopt such a response to your success is that they are afraid of losing something once the goal is attained. If it is a spouse, he or she may feel threatened by your new look and that you will appear more attractive to others. If he or she is a sibling, then they may feel uncomfortable with losing a friend to share the good food they use to enjoy or they can stem form the feelings of jealousy.

INTRODUCTION: Cholesterol is a lipid (A greasy organic compound that cannot be dissolved in water.) found in the cell membranes of all tissues, and is transported in the blood plasma of all animals. It is also considered a sterol (a combination steroid and alcohol) and is most abundant in tissues which either synthesize more of it or have more abundant densely-packed membranes, for example, the liver, spinal cord and brain and is insoluble in blood, but is carried in the circulatory system bound to one of the varieties of lipoproteins. Cholesterol is required in the membranes of mammalian cells for normal cell function, and is either synthesized or gotten from the diet, in which case it is transported by the bloodstream in low-density lipoproteins.
It is minimally soluble in water; it cannot dissolve and travel in the water-based bloodstream. It is primarily found in animal fats: all food containing animal fats contains cholesterol; food that does not contain animal fats either contains none or negligible amounts. It’s a waxy, fat-like substance that can build up on the walls of your arteries (blood vessels that transport blood from the heart to other areas of the body) and plays an essential part in the formation of cell membranes, some hormones, and vitamin D.

Weight Problems
It isn’t a secret that obesity is a problem in the U.S. It is estimated that more then 60% of adults in America have weight problems. This is a dangerous figure because being obese or overweight is one indication of being in a bad state of health. With obesity naturally come higher risks of diabetes and heart disease, two diseases that are top causes of health complications and death in the U.S.
It is therefore not a mere indication of increased vanity that more and more people want to lose weight. As a lot of people already know though, losing weight is not very easy. Maintaining the ideal weight once you reach it is even more difficult. Everyday, people struggle to muster the discipline to follow a weight loss program. There is also of course the problem of appetite control. When there is so much delicious food to eat, it is hard to resist.

You gain weight mainly because you take in more calories than you use. We take in calories by eating too much food, or eating foods with a lot of empty calories. So how do you lose weight? Well, one thing to do is to lessen the amount of calories you take in. And another way is to expend more calories.
And just how does a person go about using up all those additional calories? The best method of expending calories is by exercising. Almost all exercises burns off calories, nonetheless, a few of them speed up the whole process.
The exercises include two kinds: aerobics and weight training. It is recommended that both kinds of exercises be included in your work out regimen since they contribute effectively in expending calories.
Aerobic Exercise
The main purpose of aerobic exercise is to increase your heart rate. Four common aerobic exercises are walking, running, skipping, and cycling.
For those who are new to exercising rigorously, you may simply take walks in the beginning. Maybe around 20 minutes every day which is not that difficult at all. As you get used to it, you can walk for half an hour or even more. If you want to burn off a lot of calories, you need to walk briskly instead of walking at a leisurely pace.
